What documents do we need to travel to Mexico?

U.S. citizens do not need to have a passport or visa to travel to Mexico.  However, a passport many times will cut the amount of time you stand in line at the customs desks entering and leaving Mexico and reentering the U.S.  If you do not have a passport, you must have:

á        An official notarized copy of your birth certificate

á        Photo ID such as your drivers license

á        Married women need an official copy of their marriage certificate showing the change to their current name
